Historically, sometimes the arming cap was stuffed with straw when cotton was not available. Also, some fighters wore just the cotton padding without armor if they were less fortunate or didn't require heavy armor for their role. This yellow-colored coif is a historical replica made to wear under a metal helmet. It is hand tailored with thick layers of cotton and heavy duty stitching. Fits adults and has tie strings to keep it secure and adjustable.
