The Knights Templar was a powerful Christian military order during the time of the Crusades. Templar knights, in their distinctive white mantles with a red cross, were among the most skilled fighting units of the Crusades. Mail (chainmail, maille) is a type of armor consisting of small metal rings linked together in a pattern to form a mesh. A haubergeon is a chainmail that is smaller or shorter than a hauberk usually refered to a little Hauberk. This particular half sleeved haubergeon is made with blacked rings in the middle creating a Teplar cross and the bottom having a triangular shaped fringe.
