NauticalMart Medieval Knight German Pickle Haube Helmet
Used by German" Kurassiers ", this helmet is an excellent example of the popular spiked style in the early years. The helmet was employed during the 19th and 20th centuries and worn mainly by the cuirassiers. Closely associated with the Prussian army, this life size military helmet is a strikingly fantastic replica of a Prussian Cuirassier Spiked Helmet, also known as a Pickelhaube German Helmet. Featured on the front center of the helmet is a large brass plate designed in the shape of a spread-winged eagle, the emblem used by Prussia. Due to the excessive curved neck guard, these helmets were sometimes referred to as "lobster tail" helmets by the allied forces.
